Pickleball Vienna is an international pickleball club based in Austria. Founded on 17 March 2019, we provide opportunities for both locals and visitors to play pickleball in central Vienna. We currently meet at Tennis Point Vienna (1030 Wien) every other Friday and Sunday. In addition to regular open play sessions, we host our internationally infamous bi-annual Not A Tournament (NAT) events with prizes, sponsor weekend lifestyle pickleball retreats, workshops and other community based activities.
What makes Pickleball Vienna unique is our special connection to the Austro-Hungarian pickleball community. Our club has deep historical ties to Hungary: the very first open play event in Austria in 2019 included a Hungarian participant; the first pickleball equipment brought into Austria came through a Hungarian; and one of our founding members of Pickleball Vienna is also Hungarian. We are proud that the Hungarian community played a meaningful role in our existence and in assisting in our quest in introducing pickleball to Austria.
We will kindly note that when Pickleball Vienna was established, Pickleball Hungary was also taking shape. From the beginning, our leadership has maintained a close partnership with the Hungarian Pickleball Federation. We value this friendship with the cast and crew that shapes the federation and openly support the Hungarian community, and actively collaborate whenever possible.

For us, pickleball is a sport that brings people together—there are no borders when we play.
We welcome all that are interested in participating in any of our organized events. Visit our website – pickleballwien.com – and our social media channels (instagram – @pickleballwien) for more information!
